Japonisme

Japonism, or Japonisme, a French terminology, is considered  by some as a term for the influence of the arts of Japan .
How Japanese and Korean influence translates into modern fashion can be seen with the use of  origami-like folds, use of bold colors and print blocking combined with subtle textures to create beautiful,  silhouettes.

Cultural Fashion Influences

Lifestyle and trends are strongly influenced by social-cultural changes. As people travel and mingle with those of other cultures, fashion trends quickly begin to change. An outfit with a Western-influenced cut and an African print, Asian kimonos being sold as elegant evening dresses for modern women in every part of the world; we see it everywhere in modern fashion. Some of the biggest trends are of Arab, Asian, African and Indian influences.
